The Purge of Daddy

Some men will be reminders of her father
with all his Empty promises of tomorrow always made
& never delivered
She knew he felt familiar
Just as disappointing
as her father
To tease her with beautiful times
& never fall through
He showed up this way to help her heal the parts of herself long ago stained by the settling of such unhappy waves created by her dad whom for whatever reason never came through
Only for himself he showed up
& I guess that was a lesson in itself
to do for yourself
First and foremost
Selfishly
a selfless act
Catering to one

where nothing is what it appears to be
Where some rather pretend to play a
Sport while On vacation Cause dishonest is their way of communicate
while players play
An unhealthy fathers way
she knows to purge
