Greetings to the Beautiful Goddess Sulis...
Sulis is a CELTIC Goddess from the Hot Springs at Bath, England. The root meaning of the name SULIS means "eye" or "gap" - - this is referring to the spring from where 1/2 a million gallons of HOT water still well up every day where the story of this goddess originates from, as well as being also known for HER mystical powers as the Seeress.
Sulis and her hot springs are notorious for having mystical healing powers/properties. Her story dating back to Ancient Long ago - back when the Romans arrived in Britain & named the Spring after this Goddess. People would travel from all over the world visiting this spring of water to bathe in the absolute belief of its healing powers.
Although Sulis is Famous for her healing she is also well known to curse as well as cure. Her themes are centered around water, healing, the sun, blessings, wishes, community & offerings. Her symbols are water, wheat cakes ((funny this is even mentioned I have a strange yummy fascination with wheat lol)) and also FIRE.. This Celtic Goddess is overseer of all sacred wells and springs that give healing and blessings to those who believe and pray at them. Her close associations with the SUN can explain the ever burning FIRES in her temples.
