A Whimsical Bug-Infested Tale: Day 5 of Our 10,000 Step Journey

Welcome back, fellow adventurers! Today, I have a tale to share that involves bugs, bickering, and unexpected unity. Brace yourselves for a comedic & enlightening recount of our Day 5 journey on our quest to conquer 10,000 steps.

Thee Rainy Start:

Day 5 began a bit later than our previous walks due to thee rain that had showered us for thee past two days. As thee rain finally subsided, and my last class ended, we set off on our journey around 6 pm. Little did we know what awaited us in thee great outdoors.

Bugs, Bugs Everywhere:

My daughter, in her usual moody fashion, was already frustrated when we began our walk, convinced it would rain again after 6 pm. However, thee weather forecast was hilariously incorrect. Instead of rain, it seemed to be raining bugs! Flying little creatures resembling flies or gnats swarmed around us, creating a whole new level of annoyance.

Opposites Attract...Bickering Ensues:

My daughter and I, being polar opposites in many ways, couldn't agree on a direction to take. Despite her usually leading thee way, our stubborn clash resulted in a bug-infested path. These tiny creatures seemed to adore my daughter's chosen route, landing on us everywhere. Annoyance levels rose, and we found ourselves constantly bickering like thee astrological opposites we embody.

A Surprising Discovery:

Amidst thee bug chaos, we stumbled upon a hidden gem—a labyrinth. Initially unsure if it was public or private property, we quickly realized it was open to all. While I insisted on walking thee labyrinth as a part of our steps, she of course, my daughter was Cancer Moon resistant, wanting to continue our bug-filled journey elsewhere. Eventually, she gave in, and we each embarked on our labyrinth walk.

A Bug-Free Realm:

To our sheer delight, thee labyrinth was a bug-free oasis. As we walked, thee annoyance of the bugs faded away, and a sense of peace enveloped us. Labyrinths truly offer a meditative experience, a beautiful break from thee bug-filled reality we were facing.

Dancing Through Bug-Infested Spaces:

After thee labyrinth, we resumed our bug-filled journey, determined to make up for thee steps we missed thee previous day. My daughter, persistent as ever, led the way, seemingly attracting bugs wherever she went. We found ourselves running through open spaces, surrounded by hundreds of bugs. Thee air became a dancefloor, filled with slapping arms, wiggling bodies, and giggles.

Unity in Annoyance:

Observing others facing thee same bug invasion, we realized we weren't alone. People passing by were also swatting and dancing, acknowledging thee annoyance. Words were exchanged, laughs were shared, and a sense of unity emerged. In that moment, it felt like thee whole world agreed on something, even if it was just about bugs.

A Shift in Energy:

As we continued our sweaty & bug-ridden journey, a comment from a passerby shifted my perspective. They shouted, "You see, everyone is dancing!" This reminded me of my love for dancing and illuminated thee lightness of thee situation. Thee bugs couldn't dampen our spirits entirely.

I Googled "tiny flying bugs in New Jersey" and discovered that they are called midges, gnats, or "no-see-ums." They are actually sand flies and appear like someone threw pepper on your arms. 

Annoyance Levels Z:

Exhausted, sweaty & covered in bugs, we reached our breaking point. We decided to head back home, not caring if we reached thee exact 10,000 steps for thee day. Thee bugs had won this round, but we were determined to make up for it on Day 6.

Although we didn't reach exactly 10,000 steps, we were much closer than the previous day. Together, we accomplished 9,272 steps. It was quite a day filled with laughter as we dusted off the pepper-like bugs and hurried home. 

On this journey, I learned that we can find unity and common ground, even in annoying situations. I also discovered that not all pitbulls are lost and that some bugs can be very bothersome.

Get ready, my HALLOWEEN LOVERS & friends, are you ready for thee most thrilling Halloween season yet?!?

 I can feel thee eerie excitement coursing through my veins like never before. Time has flown by as we've had our fair share of fun, but hold on tight because Halloween is just around thee corner, and I am far from prepared 😆😆😆Thee question lingers in thee air, like a ghostly whisper – what multiple personalities shall I embody this year? 😂Thee possibilities are endless, like thee darkness of thee night. Last year, I transformed into thee seductive Cruella DaVille, and oh, thee delight it brought me. But now, my ghostly 👻 friends, I turn to you. 

What do your mystical crystal balls foresee? What costume should I be to capture thee essence of this haunted night? 

And tell me, do you know what multiple personalities you will embrace this Halloween?

Is it more than one costume you will wear like thee Halloween enthusiasts among us, those who can't be contained by a single costume?!?

Thee anticipation bubbles within me, like a cauldron about to unleash its enchanting elixirs.

But let me not forget to ask – do you, too, share a fervent love for Halloween? 

Once upon a time, on this hallowed night, I would sink into thee depths of despair. A childhood trauma, where my half-brother tragically passed away on Halloween, followed by thee loss of my dear mother three days later, casting a shadow over this day. He was born as a stillborn and laid to rest beside my mother, a haunting fact of our family's history. Yet, through years of healing & therapy, I have emerged stronger, no longer haunted by thee gloom this season once brought to me. Now, Halloween holds a different meaning, one of celebration & remembrance.

So, my darlings,  I ask of you – what costume do you envision me wearing? And do share with me what you too will you become, as thee moonlight dances upon thee eve of Halloween?

Day 4: 10,000 Steps of Walking in thee Rain with Adventure

 Day 4: 10,000 Steps of Walking in thee Rain with Adventure

Oh, what a day it has been, my dear ENCHANTING BEINGS! Today, my gorgeous daughter & I embarked on a mystical journey after an invigorating Rhythm Fire Yoga class with thee incredible Rebecca. Our spirits were high, and our bodies were pumped ready for a new adventure.

We hopped into thee car and set off to explore a neighboring town, eager to discover new sights & experiences. And boy, did we stumble upon some treasures! As we meandered through thee streets, our eyes were delighted by thee vibrant colors of a local farmers market. You know how much we adore those!

Amidst thee hustle & bustle, we stumbled upon a charming table occupied by a talented artist and his Charming wife. Their creations captured our attention, and I couldn't resist purchasing two adorable charms for my charm oracle readings on my Enchantress Thee Babbler YouTube Channel. 

Oh, thee magic they shall bring!

Now, I must confess, dear friends, that today presented its challenges. My daughter battled a pesky migraine, but fear not, for I swiftly diagnosed thee cause – an empty stomach! A quick snack in the form of a granola bar worked some wonders, and her migraine began to retreat some.

As if that wasn't enough, we also had to contend with thee whims of thee weather. Thee forecast predicted rain after 3 pm, and we had a tight schedule between yoga and running errands. 

Lo and behold, thee raindrops began to fall during our walk, much to my daughter's dismay. But fear not, for within thee enchanting meadow we traversed, the rain was but a gentle whisper, barely touching our skin.

However, my daughter's migraine & thee rain conspired to cut our journey short. She longed for a hot shower, feeling a bit icky and sticky. 

Thus, we fell short of our 10,000 step goal for today. 

But fret not, BEAUTIFUL SOULS, for there is a valuable lesson to be learned here – thee importance of giving your best despite thee circumstances.

Though we may have fallen 4,000 steps short, we still managed to get an impressive 6,000 steps. 

Now, isn't that quite thee accomplishment? I believe it is! 

Life has a way of surprising us, and sometimes, it may not go exactly as planned. But that's when we must dig deep, summon our inner strength, and be proud of every step forward, big or small.

Oh, how I LOVE thee scent of rain saturating  earth! It is like medicine for my soul, a reminder of nature's rejuvenating power. 

Meanwhile, my daughter, with her desire for cleanliness, yearned for a warm shower and thee comfort of home. But let us not forget the beauty of our walks, dear souls. We are on this journey together, sharing our triumphs & challenges.

So, my wonderful Darlings, let us not lose momentum simply because things don't go our way. Instead, let us revel in every accomplishment, celebrate every step taken & embrace thee unexpected twists and turns that life throws our way.
