if that’s what you do

with someone that was 

only temporary 

& we know the difference of feelings with these things

When I left my abuser 

he of course cried 

He practically almost died 

the narcissist in him

Selfishly wanting to hold onto me with everything 

he had 

The threats 

the begging 

The promises of change 

He even tried to bribe me

Exactly In the way that benefited him 

While keeping me

I made so much progress
