You get your feelings hurt when you sit there and lie to yourself. How do you know when you’re lying to yourself ? 

When You become defensive and triggered is one way to be able to acknowledge the lie when it enters into your conscious awareness  ...

One way to notice is when you catch yourself taking everything super personally — affected / infected by others and find yourself dwelling / feel hurt / fighting / stuck / needing to defend/ explain / make right  / can’t let go .. etc etc etc
