DISAPPOINTMENT IN LOVE
When the FIVE of CUPS appears there has been a CHANGE in a relationship. Something comes out of nowhere & takes place. Three cups fallen to the ground, yet two remain standing upright, behind the torn LOVER depicted in this picture. There is a need to let go of something and with this brings great regret and sadness. However, the cups that remain standing indicate that there is still something that is so strong & POSITIVE on which to hold onto and build.
The Number FIVE is associated with flux and uncertainty. The overturned cups often depicted on this card symbolize a major disappointment, particularly in an intimate relationship, bringing much sadness.

But what has been perceived as lost is NOT necessarily irretrievable, for two cups REMAIN UPRIGHT, suggesting that this most devastating emotional experience can lead to a turn of the tide, as long as your willing to set aside pride, acknowledging, admitting & accepting that there is still something left to build on.

It is NOW time to FOCUS on what is redeemable & take on board the fact that, for the time being, we have reached an impasse. This is definitely an emotionally painful time, but this may be absolutely necessary in order for US to make some needed Fundamental CHANGES. Breaking passed our own barriers and self limitations. How much do we VALUE our own true feelings & live accordingly & most aligned with what really matters & is most important to have for ourselves. It may be difficult to understand what is being REQUIRED of us, but the FIVE of cups indicates that it is most POSSIBLE to salvage something and this should GIFT US HOPE for our FUTURE.

Ok Now back to our FIVE of CUPS interpretation...
When the FIVE of Cups is selected, you may be feeling a deep sense of loss. You may be hard on yourself believing you made a poor or wrong choice.
