The message of this card is an important end, a new beginning. Here is  A little bit of insight about the witch at the end of the world. Storms fly about her, electrical whips crack thru the heavy air with their bites of fire, & she sits among them, hugging her hourglass, holding everything together till the force creating the change has done its work. When the witch at the end of the World makes her appearance in a spread or divination casting, you will KNOW that something's time has come. There can be no more delaying, for the CHANGE has begun. So the best thing for YOU to do NOW is PREPARE for this inevitable CHANGE. Find SOLUTIONS to CHALLENGES that will come up when the CHANGE comes. Although being suspended by one foot looks uncomfortable, the Hanged Man copes well hanging in this position. The HANGED MAN signifies a TURNING point, perhaps toward a more SPIRITUAL life. This card is all about SACRIFICE, TRANSITION, & SPIRITUAL TRANSFORMATION. As the hanged man hangs he wears a calm and peaceful expression. The concept of giving up all worldly possessions in order to FOLLOW a SPIRITUAL path is the CENTRAL THEME of this card. It is WORTH noting that this SACRIFICE is VOLUNTARY & is made because what is GAINED is of GREATER VALUE than what is Lost. The inner KNOWLEDGE that is acquired will be WORTH the SACRIFICE. The Hanged Man symbolized the giving up of something in order to acquire something else that has become more important. We have reached a crossroad and now we need to CHOOSE what is most significant to our growth and what is no longer of value. This card represents a turning point in our psychological development as we reorientate our FOCUS toward our Inner world. Knowledge of what lies within becomes more important than what exists outside. The HANGED MAN denotes a time when we are asked to SURRENDER control of the Ego and move into the UNKNOWN territory of our inner landscape. Whether we are aware of it or not, this card suggests that we are undergoing an EXPANSION of CONSCIOUSNESS that can only take place if we are READY & WILLING to MOVE BEYOND our present set of circumstances. When the Hanged Man appears it signifies that you are in a state of limbo. A reorientation is taking place in your life and for the time being at least, you may be feeling at a loss as to HOW TO PROCEED. As a result you may feel in a rut or even fearful. You may have no choice other than to STAY where you are and await the CHANGES that will RELEASE you from this state of stasis. You may be required to make a SACRIFICE  in order to move FORWARD & DEVELOP. Outworn patterns fall away and give YOU a new PERSPECTIVE on your Situation. Circumstances may conspire to prevent you from focusing on your day - to - day activities for a while, so that you can concentrate on what is most important. TRUSTING LIFE to take its proper course & BELIEVING this to be so will GIFT you a SENSE OF PEACE.
